Headaches are very common, it is estimated that at any one time 15% of Australians are taking some form of pain relieving medication for a headache.

​There are many different causes of headache, for example:

  • ​Stress
  • Muscle Tension – neck, shoulders or back are most common​
  • Dental or jaw problems
  • Infections
  • Diet
  • Eye Problems
  • Medications
  • Poor posture
  • Dehydration
  • Exposure to Noise
  • Neck or Spine Injury
  • High Blood Pressure

​As Physiotherapists, our treatment focus will be on the muscular and skeletal causes which make up a significant proportion of all headaches.
