Warm up for work 

We understand and are aware of the benefits of warming up as an Athlete for injury Prevention. Athletes would never commence competition without it. For effective injury prevention we need to start treating workers like an athlete whether or not they are sitting at a desk for 8 hours or lifting and loading a customers bag from a carousel into a container for take off. Both roles have their own risks and implementing warm up for work strategies are a fundamental risk management control every workplace should be implementing with their workforce. 

Implementing the warm up for work can be completed by one of the OccHealth Physiotherapy Team. The Program can also be implemented by a Warm up for work leader who can be trained up appropriately in our Train the Trainer program. 


  • Reduces injury risk 

  • Improves flexibility and range of motion

  • Reduces muscle tightness 

  • Assist workers to identify early signs of injury or fatigue and therefore earlier referral to Physiotherapy

  • Improvement in workplace culture. Employees see a focus transition to workplace health and wellbeing
